Day 86

Today we look at Principle 7: When things don't go as planned, don't ask why. We all face times of apparent defeat. Sometimes a healing does not manifest in the natural; a loved one dies. These are issues that trouble us. When these things occur, don't ask why because this can lead one to doubt the goodness of God.

We are to trust God and His Word. That trust should be so fixed that it is unshakable. We are to maintain our faith and follow the Word. Proverbs 3:5 says: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Of this passage, the British Family Bible says: " Rely not on thy wisdom, contrivances, or artifices, to compass thy designs in this world, but keep thyself to the ways and means which God affords thee, and approves; and this, beyond all worldly policy, will secure to thee a happy and easy passage through the dangers of this life."

We have the answer to every dilemma that comes our way in life. We go to Proverbs 3:5 and loudly proclaim, "Lord, I trust you with my whole being. I don't understand what is going on, but I have faith in You that You will not desert me. I cling to Your Word today. I will not let You or Your Word depart from me. I speak Your Word as evidence of my faith."

Before we close today, I want to emphasize that last point. Speaking the Word from your mouth is evidence of your trusting in God. Don't let go of that trust today. You or someone you meet might just need it.
