Day 120

So how does it feel to know that your every thought, word and action is being see by an Almighty God? Why, you may ask does God keep such a close eye on us? One reason is found in 2 Chronicles 16:9: "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." The word "perfect" here means full, filled, rich and abounding. The verse is telling us that God is looking for people that are full of Him so that He will show Himself strong in their behalf.

The British Family Bible says of this verse: "God grants and continues his favours only to those who serve Him with an upright and sincere heart." We want God's favor on our lives and that of our family; but do we want to walk upright before God? We show we want God's favor on our lives when we seek to be full of Him every day. The Scriptures promise us His fullness: "how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:13 Yes it is true; the fullness of the Holy Spirit is available to all those that ask.

You must also remember that you must ask having met the conditions to receive Him. The good news is that the conditions for receiving the Holy Spirit are set forth in Scripture so that you can obtain His fullness. Today decide that you want the fullness of the Holy Spirit in your life. Commit yourself to ask Him to fill you. Over the next several days we will review the conditions so that soon you will know the truth (and the truth will set you free when you act on it). Good things are about to happen to you if you walk in obedience with a heart full of God.
