Shield Daily Devotional

Day 6

I have some very exciting news for you! As you have been speaking God's Word over your life, you have been allowing God's Word to abide in you. Why is this important? It is important because Jesus said in John 15:7: "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." One of the meanings of "abide" is to be continually present, to be held. As you are speaking the Bible confessions, you are being in the presence of His Word. The mood of the word "abide" is subjective and this is the mood of possibility and potentiality. Now you can see how the verse begins to take shape in your life. Regardless of how things have been, they don't have to stay that way. As you are speaking God's Words over your life, there is the potential for change. Isn't that good news? Your tomorrow will be better than your yesterday because God's Word is changing you and your circumstances. Remember, if your problem or difficulty can be seen, it can be changed through speaking the Word of God. Speak your confessions today with hope (you should you know, because things are changing even after only 6 days even if your vision is not a spiritual 20/20).
