Day 117

Does it bring comfort or fear when you are told that God's sees your every action? There is hardly a greater restraining power in the world than to know that you are being watched. Today we are going to look at several areas that are before the eyes of God every day.

First, your every act, small or great, at home or abroad, both day and night, are seen by God in the clearest possible light. Psalm 139:12 says: "Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee." Charles Spurgeon in the Treasury of David said of this verse: "Assuredly God is in all places, at all times, and nothing can by any possibility be kept away from his all observing, all comprehending mind." Yes; God sees all regardless of the light or darkness that surrounds the act.

Second, your Maker, Redeemer and Judge is a silent listener to your every conversation, and is keeping a perfect record of every thing you say. May this be an occasion to rejoice or repent! God hears all; this is why you have been encouraged to speak His Word. As you say what He says, you may have confidence that He is pleased with what He hears. Don't forget Matthew 12:37 "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Jesus' placed great importance on what you say and so you should also.

Today walk with confidence that you are being constantly watched. Get to the place that that fact brings joy and happiness instead of fear. The road to such a place has clear directional signs: repentance and submission of your complete self to God. Such a place is good for you.
