Day 24
Are you convinced that confessing God's Word will make a difference in your circumstances? As I continue to provide you reasons for believing that speaking God's Word changes things, I want you to be overwhelmed with the evidence. My desire is that you will be so sure that confession of the Word is a Biblical approach to life, that you will continue forever.
Today, we consider reason three: Because our words determine our standing with God. Romans 10:9-10 tells us: "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We see from the verse that your mouth is part of the equation for determining your eternal destiny. The word "saved" is the Greek word sozo which means deliverance, protection, health and preservation. Do you think that you will need deliverance and healing in heaven? No; salvation by means of confession is designed to help you here now while on earth. Salvation gets you to heaven, but it starts now; with your confession! Now that is a reason to watch your words!
